Year: 2019
Area: 2.200 m²
Client: Altınbaş Holding
Located in Istanbul–Gayrettepe, within the former Journalists’ Housing district, the project responds to the area’s gradual transformation into a central business and commercial hub, where former residential buildings are increasingly adapted into office use. In this context, a four-storey residential structure on Haberler Street was reinterpreted and redesigned as a contemporary office building.
The architectural approach is defined by a restrained material palette, primarily composed of glass and corten steel. This principle of reduction is carried into the interiors, where exposed concrete surfaces and a refined corporate color scheme establish a consistent spatial language throughout the building.
The first basement level is reconfigured as a sunken courtyard floor, introducing natural light and transforming the space into a functional and well-lit meeting level. The uppermost floors, including the roof level, are designated for executive offices and boardroom functions, ensuring a clear hierarchical organization within the building.
