Moda Nata Coffee

Year: 2021
Area: 50 m2

Located in Moda, one of Kadıköy’s most vibrant districts known for its refined food, beverage, and recreational culture, the café is centered around the production of Nata, a traditional Portuguese pastry.

The design approach draws directly from local production techniques in Portugal, researching and reinterpreting them within the spatial and operational setup of the café. This emphasis on authenticity allows the act of making to become an integral part of the overall experience.

In terms of spatial language, the concept is shaped by the colorful, lively, and graphic character of Mediterranean and Portuguese urban environments. Bold color accents, layered textures, and dynamic visual compositions create a vibrant atmosphere that reflects both cultural references and contemporary urban life.

The result is a space where production, identity, and atmosphere converge—offering not only a place to consume, but an environment that communicates its origins through material, color, and spatial expression.
