Istanbul Airport ARFF Building

Year: 2019
Area: 3000 m2
Client: IGA Istanbul Airport

Located within the Istanbul Airport site, these buildings accommodate the vehicles and operational teams responsible for responding to fires, accidents, and emergency situations across the airfield.

The program includes vehicle bays, changing and resting areas, and observation towers, all organized to support rapid response and operational efficiency. The spatial layout prioritizes clarity of circulation and direct accessibility, ensuring seamless coordination between equipment and personnel.

Architecturally, the design adopts a restrained and economical approach, emphasizing minimal material use and ease of construction. This pragmatic framework is balanced with a modernist language defined by clear proportions, disciplined geometry, and a coherent structural expression.

The result is a series of functional yet composed structures, where efficiency and architectural clarity are brought together within the demanding context of airport operations.
